IEM is staffed by Certified Health Physicists, Certified Industrial Hygienists and Registered Radiation Protection Technologists. Each has in-depth, hands-on experience in the development and implementation of technically-sound, legally-defensible radiation safety programs and procedures. Our employees each have an average of 20 years of experience in the nuclear field, working for the military, U. S. Department of Energy operating contractors, and U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Agreement State licensees.
Our personnel are actively involved in professional societies and standards-setting agencies, thus they have insights into where regulations may be going before they are actually promulgated. They also have widely solicited skills for training and education programs. In fact, many of the regulators who visit client facilities were instructed by IEM staff members in basic and advanced radiation protection concepts.
IEM's employees are skilled and experienced leaders, or capable and committed members of an environmental, engineering, or services team. However, the IEM philosophy is engrained in the performance of each. As a result, our clients are assured to receiving the same high-level services, regardless of which IEM staff member takes the lead on a project. (Our Certification to the ISO 9001:2000 quality standard is further proof of this claim.) Furthermore, through the use of IEM's huge collection of standardized procedures and products, staff members never have to "re-invent the wheel" when a client seeks assistance. Their ability to select from, customize and rely upon tried-and-true methods results in significant cost savings.
