Radiation Risks

There is great interest in the risks associated with radiation exposure, whether they result from acute or instantaneous exposure events, or exposures that are protracted over time.  Although our extensive understanding of radiological risks is a fundamental part of radiation protection programs throughout the world, there is also considerable controversy associated with its application.  To facilitate your understanding of this important topic, it has been divided into a number of sections.  To read each section, press the red section number, below.  (We recommend you move through them in order.) When you are through with a particular section, simply press the "4. Radiation Risks" category on the left, or use your browser's "back" button to return to this list.

(You may wish to press your "reload" button to be sure you are seeing  a complete listing.  We will be adding more chapters to this section periodically.)
