Sr. Health Physics Technician and Project Manager (No. T-56)

Position Description:  A field project manager and health physics technician (RRPT) is required for openings in our Nuclear Services Division. Integrated Environmental Management, Inc. invites all qualified health physics technicians with project management experience to apply. The successful candidate will manage nuclear decontamination and decommissioning (D&D) projects and site characterizations at client sites (i.e., manage the work of the project team, assist in the acquisition of data pursuant to approved work plans, verify and approve the adequacy of all data acquired by project team members, prepare and maintain documentation, and assist in the preparation of reports), and provide research, technical and applied health physics support to our Consulting Division staff members. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent; registration by the NRRPT; no less than 10 years of experience in providing health physics support for decommissioning and decontamination projects (including the performance of final status surveys); experience in the packaging, shipment and disposal of radioactive waste, and a minimum of 36 months experience performing radiation protection surveillance and control activities such as job coverage, area contamination and radiation surveys, air sampling and analysis, control of radiological areas, survey of materials and equipment for unrestricted use. Qualification as an ANSI 3.1 Sr. Health Physics Technician (NRRPT and/or DOE CORE qualified), and a current certificate for OSHA 1910 training are also required. Experience with the performance of GPS-guided surveys and GIS report preparation is a real plus! Senior-level Health Physics Consultant (HP-53)

Successful candidates must have at least a B.S. degree or equivalent, at least 15 years of nuclear industry experience, and excellent oral/written communication skills.
